Siliguri, 02nd December: The Pradhan Nagar Police arrested a youth on the charge of snatching a woman’s mobile phone in an auto. The arrested youth has been identified as Shiva Barman.
Reportedly, on November 29, the accused snatched the mobile phone from a city auto parked at the Mallaguri Overbridge area and fled away. The victim then lodged a complaint the next day.
Based on the complaint, the police launched investigations and successfully got hold of the accused within 24 hours. The accused was arrested last night from the Kalibari area near Durgaguri. Several stolen mobile phones were recovered from his possession. He was produced before the Siliguri court today.
