Siliguri, 22nd August: The Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network (HHTDN) held its fourth bi-annual general meeting in Siliguri, with Jalpaiguri district MP Jayanta Kumar Roy attending the event.
During the meeting, a new executive committee was formed to lead the organisation. Raj Basu was appointed President, while Tanmoy Goswami was named General Secretary and Mriganka Ghosh Coordinator. Pradip Dhanika and Amit Periwal were appointed Senior Vice Presidents, with Rahul Rustagi taking charge as Vice President.
Jayanta Majumder was appointed Joint Secretary, while Sayantan Basu was named Assistant Secretary.
The meeting also focused on plans to further develop the tourism sector in the region. Members discussed various initiatives for promoting tourism as well as the challenges currently faced by the hospitality and tourism industry.
