Siliguri, 13th September: In a shocking incident, the prime accused of the Paribahan Nagar rape-murder case confessed to another murder he committed four months ago.
Earlier this month, the body of a woman was recovered near Paribahan Nagar in Matigara. A youth identified as Mohammad Akhtar Hussain was arrested in connection to the incident. During interrogation, the youth informed the police that he had also killed his lover four months ago and buried her body behind a warehouse near Matigara Railgate.
Following this, Matigara police reached the spot in the presence of the Magistrate on Monday afternoon and recovered the body after digging the ground. On the other hand, the deceased’s mother was also taken to the spot for identification.
According to police sources, Mohammad Akhtar Hussain had an extramarital affair with the deceased girl. He apparently killed her four months ago when a conflict broke between them. Police are interrogating the accused youth in custody.
