Kharibari, 26th December: A youth has been caught red-handed while smuggling fake lottery tickets. The accused has been identified as Prem Kumar Shah (20), a resident of Dangujote in Kharibari.
According to police sources, based on a tip-off the police intercepted a four-wheeler at Kharibari that was on its way to Siliguri. Huge quantity of fake lotteries worth Rs 10 lakh was recovered during the search and the driver was arrested.
Today the accused has been produced in the Siliguri Divisional Court. Police have started investigating the entire incident
