You cannot silence the people with threats: Raju Bista

Clashes broke out between the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) workers and the police on Thursday during the party’s ‘Nabanna Chalo’ protest march against Mamata Banerjee government, alleging there has been a deterioration in the ‘law and order’ situation in the state.

Police resorted to lathi-charge, tear gas, water cannon to disperse the protesters during which several party leaders and workers sustained serious injuries.

In this context, Darjeeling BJP MP Raju Bista took to Twitter to condemn the incident.

“You cannot silence the people with intimidation and threats. The change is here because people want it. TMC’s tyranny is coming to an end soon..” Bista tweeted.

He further claimed that West Bengal will get freedom from violence, rape, exploitation, corruption, atrocities and ‘Mughal rule’ in the coming days.
