Siliguri, 24th June: 45-year-old Malbazar resident, Purnima Mahato was arrested in Siliguri for theft. Allegedly, the women used to go to different houses posing as a domestic helper and often used to take advantage of vacant houses and used to steal.
In this context, a complaint was lodged at the police station, based on which and also acting on a tip, the police nabbed Purnima on Thursday night from the area near Subhas Pally. The accused woman was produced at Siliguri Court today. The police are probing the whole matter.
