Siliguri, 16th July: One died while the other person was injured in an accident that took place just opposite of Life Line Hospital on NH 31, late Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Pampa Das and the injured as Mani Das.
According to the information, their white-coloured Swift Dzire crashed into a truck that was standing on a garage 10 feet away from the metal portion of the road. Bhakti Nagar police station and traffic police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and took the injured couple to the nearest hospital.
However, the doctors declared Pampa Das was brought dead and Mani Das is undergoing treatment. Bhakti Nagar police seized the vehicle and have initiated further investigation.
