Wild elephant roams around residential in Siliguri’s Salbari

Siliguri, 13th May: A wild elephant was seen roaming in residential areas of Salbari in ​​Siliguri at around 5 am today. The boundary walls of some houses were also damaged by the elephant. The event created a stir in the area. 


According to the Forest Department, the said elephant entered the Methibari area from Mohargaon forest. The forest personnel of Sukna Elephant Squad rushed to the spot and chased the animal back from Mohargaon via Khairani to the forest.
