Ward Utsav organized by Ward No. 21 Committee in Siliguri

Siliguri, 27th December: After two years, once again people of Siliguri are all set to commemorate Ward Utsav. Spirit of enthusiasm is being witnessed among the residents regarding the Utsav. “Pubarsha Ward Utsav” has been organized from December 27 to January 4 under the aegis of Siliguri’s 21st Ward Committee and in collaboration with Siliguri Municipal Corporation. 


Reportedly, on Tuesday morning the festival commenced with a procession of children. The Utsav was inaugurated by city chairman Pratul Chakraborty. The councillor of Ward No. 37, Alok Bhakt was also present on the said occasion. As per the sources received, several competitions will be organized at different places in Ward No. 21.

In this regard, Councillor Kuntal Roy said that due to COVID restrictions, it was not possible to organize the festival for the last two years. This year the residents and everyone is excited and enthusiastic about the Ward Utsav. Eminent musician and MLA Aditi Munshi will also present a song on the concluding day of the festival.
