Siliguri, 18th June: In a heart-warming gesture, the residents of Siliguri Ward no-28, provided ration to the family members of a COVID-19 patient residing in the same area.
As per the report, a woman of the aforementioned ward tested COVID-19 positive, several days ago. Following which, she was admitted to the COVID Hospital and her family is currently staying at home quarantine.
The locals alleged that since the councilor has not provided any assistance to the affected family so far, they stepped forward to help them. On Thursday too, 25 families of the locality collectively arranged food items and kept it in front of their residence. The family members later collected the eatables.
