Fulbari, 26th August: Nabi Diwas, marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, was observed with a grand procession in Fulbari on Wednesday. A large number of members of the Muslim community from Fulbari and adjoining areas participated in the procession.
People from Chunavati, Kamrangaguri and several other areas near Siliguri joined the procession. Organisers claimed that several thousand people took part in the event. Carrying religious flags and banners, the procession passed through various areas of Fulbari.
Arrangements were also made to distribute cold drinks at the Fulbari Murder More area for the convenience of participants during the procession.
