Kalchini, 17th February: An incident of road mishap surfaced where a vehicle loaded with vegetables lost control and overturned. The accident left four individuals injured. Meanwhile, after the incident, a crowd of people gathered to collect the vegetables.
As per reports, the accident occurred on Saturday morning on the Asian Highway (AH) in the Hasimara No. 10 area of Kalchini block. The vegetable-laden vehicle was on its way to Jaigaon from Falakata when a bike suddenly appeared ahead. While attempting to avoid collision with the two-wheeler, the vehicle lost control and overturned, causing injuries to four.
After the incident, the police and locals rescued the injured and transported them to Latabari Rural Hospital. Later, two critically injured were referred to Alipurduar District Hospital.
