“Utsarg 44th” blood donation drive organized at Medical Police Outpost in Siliguri

Siliguri, 06th January: A mega blood donation camp under the banner of “Utsarg 44th” was organized by the cops of Medical Outpost under the Siliguri Metropolitan Police. During the camp, the ADCP of Siliguri Metropolitan Police Suvendra Kumar, and the Super of Medical College Sanjay Mallick were present.


According to reports, on Saturday, the program was inaugurated by the ADCP through lighting a lamp. In addition to the blood donation camp, a health check-up camp was also organized under the commendable initiative of Medical Outpost police with the cooperation of Siliguri Terai Lions Blood Bank.

The camp witnessed active participation not only from the officials of the police station but also from the general public. The collected unit of blood will be transported to Siliguri Terai Lions Blood Bank. Additionally, warm clothes were distributed to the underprivileged people while study materials were provided to the school students in the program.


Speaking at the event, ADCP Suvendra Kumar stated that to overcome the shortage of blood, Siliguri Metropolitan Police has been continuously organizing blood donation camps. He added that, on this day, the 44th edition of the drive has been organized.
