Upset with the HS results, angry pupils take to the streets in Cooch Behar

Cooch Behar, 24th July: Students of Kholta High School in Cooch Behar protested by blocking the state road demanding the concerned authorities to clear them in the higher secondary examination.


Reportedly, this year only 28 out of 103 students of Kholta High School passed their higher secondary examination. The results raised numerous questions and displeasure among the students. They questioned the marking procedure and on what basis were they marked as the examination was cancelled this year.

The angry students protested by blocking the state road in Kholta Checkpost area which falls between Cooch Behar and Alipurduar. On the other hand, Pundibari police reached the spot as soon as the news of the incident was received and brought the situation under control.
