Union Minister John Barla inspects construction of 300-bedded district hospital in Sikkim

Pakyong, 22nd May: Union Minister of State, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, John Barla, paid a visit to the construction site of the 300-bedded district hospital in Topokhani, Singtam, today. During his address, Minister John Barla commended the efforts and contributions of Chief Minister P.S. Golay for showing great determination to provide the people of Sikkim with cutting-edge technology of international quality. 


The Minister conducted a thorough site inspection of the ongoing hospital construction project, accompanied by dignitaries and interacted with the dedicated workers involved in the project. Prior to the visit, A.B. Karki, Secretary of the Social and Welfare Department, expressed appreciation for Minister Barla’s support in providing the state with top-notch facilities.


The program witnessed the presence of various distinguished individuals, including Bishal Lama MLA (Kalchini Assembly), Rohitji Maharaj (Advisor to CM), A.B. Karki (Secretary of Social and Welfare Department), Sukbir Subba (Chief Engineer), Satyam Kr Pradhan (Additional Secretary, Minority Affairs), Hemant Rai (ADC Gangtok), Santosh Rai, Anil Pradhan (S.E. Social Welfare), officials from the Social Welfare Department, and the construction workers.
