Siliguri, 06th September: Sensation prevailed after the body of an unidentified person was recovered from a ditch near the Science Center under the Matigara police station area. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained till the time of the reporting.
As per the information, locals noticed a foul smell coming from the area this morning and informed the Matigara police. As soon as the news was received, the police reached the spot looked for the source of the smell. Eventually, a dead body was found in the ditch.
The police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. It has been told that the dead body is about one to two days old. Police are probing the whole incident.
