Fulbari, 15th August: Sensation prevailed after the body of an unidentified woman was found in Fulbari Mahananda Barrage. As per reports, on Tuesday morning, the local residents spotted the lifeless body near the lock gate of the said barrage. They claimed that such incidents frequently occur in several instances in the barrage.
Following the discovery of the lifeless body, the matter was immediately informed to the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Police Station. Upon receiving the news, police arrived at the spot, recovered the deceased body, and transported it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem examination. At present, police are engaged in investigating the entire incident.
