Siliguri, 21st September: Two teenage girls were apprehended while executing theft in broad daylight in the Dasrath Pally area of Ward no. 44 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
According to reports, both teens entered a vacant house with the intention of theft. Sensing the opportunity, one of the girls opened the lock of the cupboard placed inside the residence and stole gold ornaments and money. Meanwhile, the other girl was standing in front of the door to keep a check. However, the owner of the house entered the house and caught the duo red-handed.
Subsequently, the matter was reported to the police. Upon receiving the news, Bhakti Nagar police arrived at the spot, took both the accused into custody, and transported them to the police station for interrogation.
