Two smugglers arrested on charge of animal trafficking with 43 cattle in Kharibari

Kharibari, 06th November: In a foiled attempt at animal trafficking, the police apprehended two miscreants with 43 cattle in Kharibari. The accused have been identified as Zaheerul Haque (28) from the Purnia district of Bihar and Mohammad Salim (30), a resident of Dalkhola.


According to reports, the police officials found 43 cattle inside a truck that was parked in the area adjacent to Bengal-Bihar Border Chakka Mari in Kharibari during a naka checking. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused driver and his companion were unable to show any legitimate paperwork pertaining to the recovered cattle. As a result, both the accused were arrested and produced before the Siliguri Court on Monday. Meanwhile, the entire incident is being looked into by the Kharibari police.
