Two security guards arrested for fraud in a rice mill in Bidhannagar

Siliguri, 20th March: A case of fraud of paddy worth about 25 lakh rupees carried out by the security guards and drivers at a rice mill in Bidhannagar adjacent to Siliguri has come to light. The police have arrested two security guards in this case.
For a long time, the security personnel and drivers were engaged in the fraud in the eminent rice mill, M.G. Grain Product Private Ltd., an industrial area in Bidhannagar. The manager of the company informed that the weight of the paddy trucks coming from outside was being tampered with. The truck drivers allegedly used to sell paddy outside before entering the mill premises and the security guards took a commission for registering the wrong weight.
When the officials of the mill came to know about the scam, a primary case was lodged at the local police station. During the investigation, the police arrested two security guards deployed by the Panther Security Agency. The police are currently investigating the case.It is to be noted that about three months ago, a whole truck loaded with rice disappeared from the same rice mill.
