Siliguri, 03rd March: A team of Ashighar Out Post Police nabbed two more members of a dacoit gang, late Wednesday night. The arrested have been identified as Arvind Sahni of Jabrabhita and Gopal Das of South Shanti Nagar area under the NJP police station.
According to the information, on Tuesday night, a criminal group had gathered on the banks of the Sahu River under Ashighar Out Post. Upon receiving the news, the police immediately launched a campaign and nabbed three miscreants identified as Amrit Karmakar, Subhojit Ghosh and Krishna Haldar, while the rest of the members managed to escape from the spot.
The police continued with their operation and successfully arrested two more members of the dacoit gang last night. The duo was produced in Jalpaiguri court today.
