Siliguri, 16th November: Sensation prevailed after two arrested individuals escaped from the police van, on Tuesday in Siliguri.
It has been learned that the NJP police arrested two youths named Krishna Dey and Debashish Das on Monday night under the charge of criminal offences. They were being taken to Siliguri District Hospital for a medical check-up, on Tuesday morning, when the duo managed to escape from the police van near the hospital. After the incident, the CCTV footage of the area is being examined.
