Siliguri, 13th April: Multiple complaints regarding liquor being home delivered surfaced from the Eastern Bypass area of Siliguri near Sahudangi Railway Gate.
The matter came to light when the locals nabbed the security guard and another worker of the liquor shop red handed. Large quantities of liquor were recovered from their possession.
It is to be noted that the government has not issued any directive allowing the selling of liquor online amid the lockdown period.
Upon confrontation, the security guard stated that he had been delivering liquor door-to-door under the instructions of the shop owner.
The poor guard should not be punished, he should be given benefit of doubt
