Maynaguri, 22nd October: The forest department recovered the bodies of two bison from the Jaldhaka river embankment under the Maynaguri block, on Friday morning.
As per the report, this morning, the locals sighted the body of a bison on the bank of the river while another bison was spotted wandering in the same area. Following this, the forest department was informed.
After receiving the news, the forest department officials reached the spot and found that the other bison had also died. The bodies were recovered and sent for autopsy. The forest department has started an investigation into the cause of death.
