Siliguri, 29th March: Acting on a specific input, a joint police team of SOG, SPC, and Matigara Police Station apprehended two persons namely Md. Based of Lelin Colony, Matigara, and Sk. Abub Kasem of Old Matigara Road.
On search, 600 grams of Brown Sugar was recovered and seized from the exclusive possession of the accused individuals.
Both the accused persons have been arrested and taken into custody. The value of the seized Brown Sugar is 01 Crore 10 Lakhs. A specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been started against the accused persons at Matigara Police station. The investigation is on and both the accused persons will be presented before the Ld Court today.
