Siliguri, 17th October: Two youths have been arrested with 260 grams of brown sugar. The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Sohel Biswas (19) and Mohammad Suleman (20). They are residents of Malda Kaliachak.
It has been learned that the duo reached Mallaguri in Siliguri from Kaliachak with brown sugar. Acting on a tip-off, the Pradhannagar police reached the spot and arrested the two. 260 grams of brown sugar was recovered from their possession. The market value of the recovered brown sugar is around Rs 62 lakh.
They were produced at the Siliguri court today where the court ordered five days of police custody and a case has been filed under the NDPS Act.
