Bidhan Nagar, 14th March: Bishan Nagar police arrested two smugglers identified as Bishal Kumar Yadav (22) and Guddu Ansari (32), on Monday.
According to the information received, before the buffaloes were smuggled from Bihar to Bangladesh, the Bidhan Nagar Police stopped two trucks at Muraliganj Check Post and Bidhan Nagar Petrol Pump and rescued 24 buffaloes.
They were sent to Siliguri court today. Bidhannagar police have started an investigation to find out if anyone else is involved in the incident.
