Two arrested on charges of theft in Kharibari

Kharibari, 08th March: The police apprehended two individuals in connection to a theft at a hardware store in Balaijhora, Kharibari. The accused criminals have been identified as Jagdish Barman and Dipankar Barman, both residents of Gossaipur in Naxalbari.


According to reports, the incident unfolded on Wednesday when the miscreants broke into the establishment and made off with Rs. 12,000. Following a prompt complaint filed at the Kharibari Police Station, the authorities swiftly launched an investigation into the matter. Leveraging CCTV footage, the officials identified and arrested the miscreants. The accused duo was detained for their alleged involvement in the crime.

Sources within the police department have revealed that the stolen cash worth Rs 3,000, along with a motorcycle purportedly used during the commission of the theft, were seized from the apprehended individuals. Following a thorough interrogation, the Kharibari Police initiated a detailed investigation into the incident.
