Siliguri, 19th May: The Pradhan Nagar police arrested a youth and a woman, in two separate cases of intoxicant smuggling.
Reportedly, in the first case, the police arrested Sona Devi from Ratanlal Basti for smuggling cannabis. It has been learned that for a long time, the said woman was running a cannabis trade. Five kgs of cannabis were seized from her.
Meanwhile, the Pradhan Nagar police arrested a youth, identified as Bijan Das, with 568 pieces of intoxicating tablets from Champasari More on Tuesday night.
The duo was produced at the Siliguri court today.
