Siliguri, 20th June: NJP police arrested two persons on their way to smuggle fake liquor into Bihar from Assam. The accused have been identified as Lalu Yadav and Deepu Kumar, both are residents of Bihar.
Reportedly, on Sunday, the NJP police apprehended a 14-wheeler truck with a Nagaland number plate from the Jotiakali area of Siliguri. Upon searching the truck, fake liquor worth about Rs 20 lakh was recovered. The truck driver including his assistant were arrested. They were produced in Jalpaiguri court on Monday.
