Malda, 04th October: In a joint operation, the Special Task Force (STF) and English Bazar police arrested two men along with brown sugar. The arrested accused have been identified as Maniruddin Sheikh (28) and Moyadijjur Miya (33).
Based on a tip-off, the duo was arrested on Wednesday morning from the Susthani More area in English Bazaar.
In this context, IC of English Bazar Police Station Madan Mohan Roy said that 500 grams of brown sugar have been recovered from the duo. As per the primary investigation, the brown sugar was being transported from Kaliachak to Balurghat.
