Tunnel collapsed in J&K Update: Bodies of 5 laborers from West Bengal reach their native village

Jalpaiguri 24th May: An under-construction four-lane tunnel on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district collapsed on Thursday night. Two survived while ten people lost their lives in the accident. Out of ten laborers, five were from West Bengal.
Among the five, three laborers were from the Gaderkuthi gram panchayat area and the other two were from Magurmari Gram Panchayat- 2 area of ​​Dhupguri block under Jalpaiguri district. On Tuesday, the bodies of Gautam Roy (22) and Jadav Roy (23) were brought to their houses in ​​Dhupguri. An atmosphere of grief engulfed the entire area after their arrival.
Reportedly, the five bodies were supposed to reach Bengal by flight on Sunday, however, due to bad weather, the family members had to bring them by road. Gautam Roy and Jadav Roy’s bodies reached their village this morning in Magurmari.
