Trinamool stage protest holding ‘Get Well Soon’ card in Siliguri

Siliguri, 14th November: Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress staged a protest near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Siliguri holding roses and ‘Get Well Soon’ card. Through this program, cards with the said message were sent to the residence of Leader of Opposition of the state Suvendu Adhikari. Apart from this, Trinamool leaders also paid homage to Gandhi’s statue. 


It is to be noted, Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday claimed that Abhishek Banerjee’s son’s birthday party was organized at a five-star hotel in Kolkata and a huge security force had been deployed for the same.

“Grand Celebrations tonight at Taj Bengal !!! Security has been beefed up for the Birthday Party of Koyla Bhaipo’s son. Over 500 Policemen, Bomb Squad & Dog Squad have been deployed to Guard the venue. Door Frame Metal Detectors & Hand-held Metal Detectors are in place,” Adhikari tweeted.


The ruling party denied the allegations and announced to send flowers and greeting cards to Adhikari to wish him good mental health. Following this announcement, the Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress along with the party’s supporters across the state have been sending cards and flowers to the leader.

Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress spokesperson Vedbrata Dutta, Darjeeling District Trinamool Youth Congress President Niyas Roy along with others were present during today’s program. In this regard, Niyas Roy stated that the program had been held on behalf of the TMC to condemn insulting remarks made about a child.
