Trinamool Mahila Congress holds 32 hours sit-in protests in Siliguri against Center

Siliguri, 22nd May: Following the protest in Kolkata, Trinamool Mahila Congress organized a 32-hour sit-in protest targeted against the centre. The sit-in protest was led by Trinamool Mahila Congress State President, Chandrima Bhattacharya and MP Mala Roy.


Reportedly, today, members of Trinamool Mahila Congress protested against the central government by displaying placards during the sit-in protests. The members held demonstrations in support of various demands including 100 days work and the housing scheme. 

Speaking in this regard, Chandrima Bhattacharya, accused the centre to be responsible for the financial crisis in the state. Additionally, she stated that the central government will have to provide clearance regarding the outstanding amounts to be received by the state, as soon as possible.
