Siliguri, 13th June: Monsoon has not yet arrived, but heavy rainfall showered over the city since last night. While there were sights of water-clogged roads and deserted alleys, a peculiar scene caught everyone’s attention.
A huge tree toppled over a toto (e-rickshaw) Siliguri’s Hillcart Road, completely crushing it. Luckily, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Meanwhile, after receiving the news, the fire department rushed to the spot and removed the tree by cutting it. Traffic came to a standstill for a while due to the incident. On the other hand, the traders’ committee of the area stated that a new tree will be planted in the same spot.
