Kharibari, 20th December: After protesting against the sudden ban on the movement of totos on the Indo-Nepal border, the movement of Totos at the border at Kharibari resumes. SSB has permitted Toto movement to Toto drivers subject to conditions.
Reportedly, due to a lack of valid number plates, the SSB had stopped the movement of Toto on the Indo-Nepal border of Kharibari’s Panitanki from December 6. According to sources, Toto was prevented by international border security. Meanwhile, Panitanki E-Rickshaw Union protested last Saturday demanding to resume the movement of Toto.
After the protest, SSB allowed Toto drivers to run Toto subject to conditions. SSB has ordered to obtain a valid number for the Toto at the earliest. With the resumption of the plying of E-Rickshaws, the drivers were seen ecstatic and happy after their demands were met.
