Islampur, 10th January: An E-rickshaw (Toto) driver was killed after being hit by a truck at Palpa Rampur, Islampur in the North Dinajpur district, on Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Biren Rai (30), a resident of Kundan village in the Islampur Police station area.
According to information received from the police and local sources, Biren was returning home at night in his toto, when suddenly, a truck collided with the Toto, due to which he died on the spot. After the incident, the local people reported the matter to the Police. Upon receiving the news, the Police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Islampur Hospital for an autopsy.
