Indian women’s hockey scripted a historic moment by making their maiden entry into the semifinals at the Tokyo Olympic Games on Monday after defeating world No. 2 Australia 1-0. Gurjit Kaur’s brilliant drag flick sealed India’s spot in the semifinals for the first time in their Olympic history.
The Indian Women’s Hockey Team is in the top four despite this being just their third Olympics after 1980 and 2016. Both men and women hockey teams are in the semifinals of the same Olympics for the first time.
