Siliguri, 24th August: A man was found unconscious at the NBSTC bus stand premises in the Siliguri Junction area and was later declared dead at the hospital. The deceased has been identified as Manu Pal, reportedly a resident of Falakata.
According to information, Manu Pal was found unconscious inside the bus stand premises. Local residents informed the police, following which police reached the spot and took him to Siliguri District Hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared him dead.
Police took the body into custody and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem examination.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. CCTV footage from the bus stand is also being examined as part of the investigation.
