TMC protests against ‘derogatory terms used for tribal communities’ at the state assembly premises in Siliguri

Siliguri, 02nd December: The members of Trinamool Congress (TMC) have staged a protest in Siliguri against the usage of derogatory terms such as “untouchable and impure” to refer to tribal communities at the state assembly premises.


According to reports, on Saturday, the members of Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress held a protest rally at Hashmi Chowk (Venus More). In attendance were Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Papiya Ghosh, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress Chairman Alok Chakraborty, and other public representatives.

On this day, the TMC activists raised their voices against the saffron party and raised concerns regarding the President’s role in the constituency. In response to this, President Papiya Ghosh cautioned a massive agitation at the booths in the upcoming days.
