In the recent turn of events, Trinamool leader Jitendra Tiwari resigned as the administrator of the Asansol municipality’s BoA. According to sources, Tiwari has also resigned from the post of Trinamool Paschim Burdwan district president. Tiwari accused the Mamata Banerjee-led state government of depriving Asansol.
It is to be noted, Jitendra Tiwari was scheduled to hold a meeting with Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on Friday, which probably will be cancelled.
During a meeting at the Asansol municipality, he informed the workers about his decision. He also held a meeting with Shuvendu Adhikari on Wednesday evening. Speculations surfaced that Tiwari may join BJP along with Shuvendu next Saturday.
