Siliguri, 30th July: Fulbari Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mohammad Ahid, alias Chutki, has been arrested in connection to alleged selling of government land.
As per reports, the TMC leader was apprehended late Monday night on charges of creating forged documents for the sale of government land, following similar allegations against TMC leaders Debashish Pramanik and Gautam Goswami from the Dabgram-Fulbari area.
The arrested leader was presented in the Jalpaiguri court on Tuesday. Meanwhile, accused Mohammad Ahid has denied all allegations, claiming that he is being framed.
