Rajganj, 06th July: Local Trinamool leaders extended a helping hand to the family of a toto driver who recently passed away. In the presence of Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad member Debashish Pramanik, a month’s ration and some financial help were given to the deceased’s family on Wednesday. Apart from this, Pramanik also pledged to pay for the education expenses of the children.
It is to be noted, last Sunday, Habibar Islam, a resident of Paschim Dhantala of Fulbari-2 gram panchayat of Rajganj, committed suicide. His family consists of nine members including his wife, five daughters and one son. The family has become financially weak due to the death of their sole breadwinner. Furthermore, the family was living without electricity for the past two years due to the non-payment of bills.
Zilla Parishad member Debashish Pramanik assured to talk to the electricity department about resuming the electricity supply in the house.
