As per reports, on Saturday, the Governor landed at Bagdogra Airport. Following this, he left for the State Guest House in Siliguri. During this, TMC leaders waved black flags and raised slogans of “Go Back” even when he arrived at the Guest house. As soon as the Governor left for Darjeeling, the TMC workers staged a protest. Subsequently, a large contingent of police from the Pradhan Nagar police station arrived at the spot and dispersed the TMC activists.

Speaking in this regard, Darjeeling TMC Youth President Nirnay Roy stated that the party’s General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee has staged a sit-in protest in front of Raj Bhawan for two days to meet the Governor demanding payment of 100 days arrears. However, the Governor ignored the issue which prompted the protest.
