TMC candidate Gopal Lama filed nomination for Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency

Siliguri, 28th March: Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Gopal Lama supported by Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM) filed his nomination papers for the Darjeeling Lok Sabha Constituency.


Reportedly, on Thursday, Gopal Lama visited Darjeeling District Magistrate (DM) Office and submitted his nomination papers to the DM Dr. Preeti Goyal. During this, the BGPM General Secretary Amar Lama, Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, BGPM Central Election-in-Charge Jyoti Kumar Rai were present.

Prior to the filing of nomination papers, an election meeting was held on behalf of TMC at Chowrasta in Darjeeling. The election meeting was addressed by BGPM President Anit Thapa in support of the TMC Candidate Gopal Lama, in the presence of BGPM Vice President Pramoskar Blon, Bimal Jalmiya and others. The election meeting was conducted by BGPM Central Spokesperson Keshavraj Pokharel.


After the meeting, a grand rally was carried out from the Chowrasta premises. The rally circumambulated various routes of the Darjeeling city and arrived at the office of the District Magistrate. The rally witnessed the presence of TMC leader Papiya Ghosh, Shanta Chhetri, LB Rai and other leaders of the party.
