Darjeeling, 18th January: Tilak Chand Roka the chief coordinator of Darjeeling sub-divisional committee of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (Bimal Gurung faction) resigned from the party.
It is to recall, after the movement for a separate state of Gorkhaland in 2017, Roka was arrested in September 2018 from Delhi and was in jail for nine months. Reportedly, he was charged with 149 cases against him.
