Siliguri, 29th August: Another road accident was reported on Siliguri’s Eastern Bypass, with a man seriously injured after allegedly being hit by a vehicle near the Dhakeshwari Kali Temple area.
The injured man has been identified as Shibu Saha, who reportedly owns a shop and a house near the Dhakeshwari Kali Temple along the Eastern Bypass.
According to local sources, Saha was crossing the road when a vehicle hit him. It is alleged that the vehicle ran over him after knocking him down.
Following the accident, Saha was rescued in a seriously injured condition and taken to Siliguri District Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. According to his family, his condition remains critical.
Police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and have launched a search for the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident.
