Three shops gutted in fire in Bagdogra, goods worth lakhs burnt

Bagdogra, 23rd April: Three shops were burnt to ashes in the horrific fire that took place in Bagdogra’s Airport Market in the early hours of Saturday. Reportedly, the security guard of an ATM noticed the fire and immediately looked for help. Locals rushed to the spot and began extinguishing the fire.
Later, fire engines from Matigara and Siliguri reached the spot and the fire was brought under control after about an hour of effort. Officials have assumed that the fire may have been started due to a short circuit. The vendors of the three shops said that goods worth Rs 30 lakh have been burnt in the fire.
