Three injured in wild tusker attacks in Naxalbari and Kharibari

Kharibari, 30th October: In two separate incidents of wild elephant attacks, three individuals sustained severe injuries in the Raghu Jote and Dhakna Jote areas of Naxalbari and Prasadu Jote of Kharibari.


According to reports, on Sunday evening, a wild tusker attacked an individual while crossing a road on a bicycle in Prasadu Jote of Kharibari. The individual named Nagar Barman sustained severe injuries. The injured was rescued and transported to Naxalbari Hospital. Later, he was referred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, two individuals named Tighen Singh and Krishnakant Barman sustained severe injuries in wild elephant attacks in Raghu Jote and Dhakna Jote of Naxalbari. Both were promptly rescued and were rushed to Naxalbari Hospital. In view of critical injuries, one of the injured was later shifted to NBMCH for further medical care.
