Kharibari, 17th May: In a special campaign conducted by Kharibari police on the Indo-Nepal border, three people were arrested with a huge amount of brown sugar worth lakhs of rupees. The peddlers have been identified as Sajina Rai, Mingmar Sherpa, and Raju Murmu.
Reportedly, acting on a tip-off, Kharibari police launched a campaign in the Batashi area and caught the trio red selling and buying the brown sugar. The accused were produced in the Siliguri court today. Police are probing the whole matter.
